Employment with the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute

The institute recruits scientists and technicians. In addition to the need for scientific and technical staff, the everyday administration and maintenance of the facility requires the expertise of qualified clerical, administrative, and maintenance staff.
Career Service, Select Exempt and Senior Management Employment (CS/SES/SMS)
 
The Institute hires primarily professional fish and wildlife scientists, statisticians and science technicians. However, to support scientific efforts, we also utilize the expertise of clerical, administrative and maintenance staff. These positions offer benefits including paid leave and holidays, health and life insurance, state funded retirement and more
 
Other Personal Service Employment
 
OPS employment is intended to be temporary. Although it does not provide paid leave, retirement or insurance benefits, OPS are covered by worker’s compensation and are eligible to participate in the state’s Tax Deferred Compensation Program. Its a great way to gain professional experience and expand your network of fish and wildlife research professionals.
